Tufts ID Card Frequently Asked Questions


The first ID card is provided at no cost. There is a $30 fee for the replacement of lost or stolen ID cards. There is no fee for the Replacement of damaged ID cards as long as the damaged ID card is returned when the replacement ID card is printed.
Students living in Tufts on-campus residential housing will receive their Tufts ID card when they report to campus to receive their room assignments. All others will receive their ID card from the Public Safety Administrative Services office on their campus. A valid driver’s license, state ID or passport is required in order to obtain your Tufts ID card.
You will receive an email indicating the reason the photo was denied. You will then have the choice of uploading a different photo or visiting the Public Safety Administrative Services office on your campus to have your Tufts ID Card photo taken.
Lost or stolen ID cards must be reported immediately. If you don’t have your card, someone else might. Reporting lost or stolen cards will block unauthorized JumboCash spending as well as the use of the lost or stolen ID card to access any University locations your card has access to."
There are two ways to report a lost of stolen Tufts ID card.

  • Log into your account at www.jumbocash.net and use the link to report your card as lost or stolen.
